Mobile Application - Location Data

What Location Data We Collect

The Track Star mobile app collects precise location data including:
 • GPS coordinates (latitude and longitude)
 • Heading and direction
 • Speed and altitude
 • Location accuracy
 • Timestamp

When We Collect Location

Foreground: When you actively use the app.

Background: When your organization administrator enables device tracking AND you grant "Always Allow" (iOS) or "Allow all the time" (Android) permissions, Track Star collects your location even when the app is closed or running in the background. Location updates are sent every 2 minutes while tracking is active.

Why We Collect Location

Track Star is a real-time workforce and asset tracking platform. We collect location to:
 • Track positions of company devices, vehicles, and field personnel in real-time
 • Display tracked assets on interactive maps for your organization
 • Monitor field operations and routes
 • Generate location reports

How We Use Location Data

Your location is:
 • Transmitted to your organization's tracking server via encrypted HTTPS connection
 • Associated with your user account, device ID, name, and email when transmitted
 • Displayed on maps to authorized users in your organization

Who Can Access Your Location

 • Your Organization: Administrators and authorized personnel in your organization's Track Star account can view your location
 • NOT shared with advertisers, data brokers, or third-party analytics platforms
 • Google Maps: Used only for map display. Your location is NOT sent to Google.
 • Legal requirements: May be disclosed if required by law

 • iOS: Settings > Track Star > Location
 • Android: Settings > Apps > Track Star > Permissions > Location
