The Track Star Version 4
Automatic Vehicle Location software product
is the precursor to our AVLS software
product. This product remains quite
useful for those who wish to implement a
fully featured AVL system using map data
that they might already have in lieu of the
map data provided in our AVLS software
products. This program
utilizes the same data flow and SQL server
structures as our AVLS products but employs
the ESRI Map Objects internal mapping
engine. As a result, this version
permits the use of ESRI Shapefile map data
sets natively and without conversion or
adaptation. Version 4
provides users with the same real time
vehicle tracking capabilities, report
generation capabilities and GPS device
interaction as provided in the AVLS system.
This product provides users with access to
ESRI Shapefile map data a powerful vehicle
location system that is robust and reliable.
The product is provided with map data files
containing streets, roads, towns and cities
as derived from the USGS TIGER data set
(2002) in ESRI .shp file format. Use
of other Shapefile data is as simple as
clicking on a file name! |
