International, Inc. is pleased to announce
acceptance into the Garmin Authorized Partner
program. This is the direct result of the
successful demonstration of the newly released
functions within Track Star AVLS that allow
dispatchers to communicate directly with the
Garmin Nuvi(r) and Dezl(r) navigation devices in
their vehicles. Dispatchers are able to
send destinations directly to the devices which
then navigate drivers to the desired
destinations. In addition, dispatchers can
send messages to drivers using the Garmin
devices and drivers can respond with canned or
free form messages back to the dispatcher.
This new capability delivers important new
functionality to Track Star AVLS users and
provides a means to further maximize the
efficient use of vehicle fleets of all types.
The Garmin Dezl increases in vehicle automation
and reduces driver paperwork and workload by
providing electronic DOT Hours of Service Logs
and IFTA Fuel Tax reporting functions. The
Dezl(r) routes vehicles to desired destinations
by selecting routes appropriate to vehicle
weight and size.
